Nicks vision was blury, and his body covered in blood. The light blinded him, confused him, and scared him. He tried to ask "Who are..." But the bloodloss was too great. Whatever was in his face was trying to calm him. By the time he was almost awake, he passed out again. Nick had fallen unconscious again. He could not see anything but what looked like snow on a computer.

He had a dream, a vision, or maybe some hallucination from his head. He say a flashback. It was him and his girlfriend, Bri. They were in the park together. They had both gotten on the tire swing and spun around. Nick didn't have a good grip and fell off. "Oh my god Nicky! You ok?" She said with a gleeful concern. Nick just rubbed his head and said "I'm good babe!" He would then spin her faster. This was a happy memory. Nick smiled as he saw his high school sweetheart and him have fun. But then, it ended.

Nick shot up from what was a cold metal table. He grabbed his arm in pain and layed back down. "Woah there buddy, calm down!" A voice of an older man. Nicks vision was still blury, but he was aware of his surroundings now. A hand pat him on the back. "Well, you have us a scare there! How are you feeling?" A Bengal about the same size as Nick came into view. He looked about 50, and had glasses which beamed light in Nicks eyes. "I'm good..." He says as he shakes his shoulders, trying to get the bengals hand off. "No need to fret, you are safe here. My name is Ronald Jaque. I'm a doctor at the local hospital here." He extends his paw out in a friendly gesture. Nick shakes back "Names Nick Fredricks. Nice to meet you." Nick scoped out the room.

He saw a Rottweiler. A big one too. He was probably 240 pounds of pure muscle. He stood taller than Nick, and could probably kill him with nothing but his hands. One destinguishing feature was his left eye. It had a giant scar going across it. He leaned against the wall, looking at the others, then notices Nick looking. "Finally." He said in a deep, raspy, and not suprisingly intimidating voice. "Look who decided to join us." Nicks voice got slightly shake. "Hey."  The Rottweiler looked with confusion, then he chuckled. "Names Rodger McKale. Don't worry, I ain't gonna hurt ya either." He gave Nick a pat on the back so strong, Nick lost his breathe. He goes and continues to look.

He sees a woman, a cop, and a... child. The woman was crying, holding the child, and the cop was comforting her. Nick could tell something was surely wrong. "What's wrong mam?" He sits up and holds his arm. It was bandaged. He took off his jacket and looked as it was neatly healing. "You're welcome." Nick heard from behind him, but it wasn't the doctor. "He looks back to find another woman, about Nicks age, and was a Bengal. Probably related to Ron. "Nanes Sophia. I am Ronald daughter, and a nurse for the hospital." Nick guessed it ran in the family. "Thank you." He said with a fatigued happiness.

Nick looks back in front of him to see something shocking. It was the dog. The dog that attacked him. He jumped back and fell off the table, yelling out "What the... Oof." He hit the floor hard. "Don't panic, don't panic! He's dead." Rodger said with a calming sternness. "He's been dead about a day. He has no pulse and his pupils have dialated. We grabbed him for study." Nick climbs to his feet to see the dog, then the doctor. " Wait, a day? How long have I been out?" Sophia looks up and says with a grin "About a day." Nick was not amused. He looked at the dog. It was bloody, it smelled rotten, and hd one eye missing. He also had a bite mark on his arm. "What are we looking at Doc, zombies?" Ronald looked at Nick with a serious expression. "No, they did not die or became reanimated. They were fresh kills, and also show no signs of being at once deseased. We braught him here for study." He was cut off by Sophia. "Thats why you are here. You were our non-infected specimen." Nick looks at Sophia, "An unwilling voulenteer?"  Sophia looked concerned. "Yeah."

"What about the island?" Nick said sternly. Rodger came from behind Nick and put his hand on Nicks shoulder. "It was cut off, and were stuck here. The TV told everyone to stay in their rooms, and we were all picked off by those... things." Nick looked back to see Rodger tear up. "What's wrong Rodger?" Nick said, concerned. "They got my wife." Rodger got angrier, this time squeezing Nicks shoulder till nhe dropped in pain. "Let go!" Nick said as he fell to his knees. Rodger stops and picks Nick up onto his feet. "Sorry." Rodger said.

"What do we do know?" The woman holding her child had finally spoken. She stood up and looked at all of them. "Are we just going to stand here and wait for them to kill us all?" Ronald looked at the woman and gave her a hug, the stepped away and addressed his idea. "We need to find somewhere better suited if we need to survive, but first we must gather supplies, then we can go!" Nick stood there and asked, "What do you need?" The doctor looked over at Nick, "Some briefcases for transportation, some food, water, and medical supplies from other infermaries nearby." Nick nodded and said, "I'll go." Rodger stood next to Nick and said, "I'll go with him!" Nick didn't want to risk Rodger, but he was in no condition to defend himself. The cop gave them a radio and told them good luck. They set off to search for the supplies. Nick and Rodger walk out, and the door shuts behind them.
