The first part if the job was simple. Nick and Rodger needed bags for the supplies. They were everywhere, seeing as how this was one of the most popular resorts in the Northern Hemisphere. Nick and Rodger both grabbed two bags each, and started to walk towards the stairs. Nick saw something peculiar. The halls were drenched in blood, yet where were all the bodies? "Rodger? Where are the bodies? Why are they all gone?" Nick said with a scared confusion. "I don't know..." Rodger was not happy. He seemed very focused and serious about this job. Nick saw the sign "Emergency stairs" dangling from the ceiling. "Ok, there's a bar on the top of the hotel. I think we can find some water and food when we get there." Nick tried to sound dutifully proud, but he was too nervous. "Understood." Rodger said sternly.

Before Nick even opened the door, a loud crash was heard and a scream from what seemed like a female. Nick walked over to the room doer and put his ear to it. "Hello? Mam, are you ok?" Then the ceiling caved in on top of Rodger. It was one of those beasts. He landed atop Rodger, but was immediately throw off. Nick tried to step forward and help, but the door broke down, and a female cougar had pounced on Nick, forcing him into another room. He fell to his back as the woman tried to go for his neck. "Rodger!" Nick cried out as he struggled. There was no response. What happened to Rodger? "Rodger! Help!" Nick was panicking. There was still no response. Nick needed to create distance between them. He struggled his feet under her stomach and kicked her off into the wall. He ran to the closet and grabbed a hanger. The cougar tried to jump on him again, but Nick evaded her. He turned around quickly and put the hook in her eye, pushing her against the closet frame. Nick panted and looked at the lady. "Oh my god..." Nick ran out of the room. Rodger was nowhere. Nick grabbed his bags and headed for the stairs.

He opened the door and slowly walked in.  He heard some shuffled noises, followed by footsteps. "Nick?" It was Rodger. "What happened, Rodger?" Nick said concerned. "The damn thing got back up and pushed me in here. He jumped on me, so I rolled down the stairs, trying to get him off. They are too fucking persistent." Rodger pointed down the stairs and Nick got a look at what happened. It was another male dog. Its neck was bent in a U-shape. Nick saw and gagged. "Lets go." Nick said, trying not to look. A slam was heard at the bottom of the stairs.

It was more of them, of those beasts. At least fifteen of them. They knew they were there. They rushed up the stairs, trying to reach them. "Run!" Rodger screamed as they both bolted up the stairs, trying to keep distance. Another door swung open. A female German Shepard walked out, in uniform. She had to have been a waitress. She motioned to them "Come on, in here!" Nick and Rodger eventually reached her. They ran in and shut the door. "Are you two ok?" She said as she checked them both. "We're fine." Nick said as he panted, trying to catch his breathe. "My name is Danielle. I'm a waitress here. We have others. A little girl was injured." Nick poked up as he heard the little girl was injured. "How bad?" Nick asked. "She got blood in her mouth and was hit by her mother, before her father took her here." She said full of sympathy for the child.

"We came here to look for food and water..." Rodger said, panting as well. "We have some in the kitchen. Take what you need." She was interrupted by an old man. He looked to be seventy and had a bad eye. "We need this food! They can't have it."  An older woman came up next to him. "Philip, go rest. You need to calm down before you go into a heart attack." The old man just shrugged and walked off. "I think I'll go look in the back." Rodger left and went into the kitchen to gather food. Nick walk over to the patio, over looking the beach. Some of the corpses were gone. I think they didnt all die. Nick looked off into the distance. A boat. It was weird. It was tied to the dock, and it just layed there, untouched. Nick looked back at the group. "I think I have an idea!" Danielle looked at Nick. "What?" She said as her ears perked up. "I saw a.,." The little girl started to cry "is she ok?" The father looked up. "I think she'll be good." The father looked back down and cradled his daughter. She growled as she quickly jumped at her father and bit into his shoulder. Blood courses out as she shook her head, shredding the flesh.

Danielle ran to the patio, screaming as the daughter bit her father. He pushed her back as he bled. He slowly stood up, coughing up blood. She turned at the old man Philip. He started to panic as he stepped back, only to be tackled and bit by the father. It's like he had a contest to see how fast he could go through Philips throat. Nick looked out as Rodger ran in with a meat cleaver. The little girl looked over and charged at him. With one swipe, Rodger cut through her skull, killing her. Danielle buried her head in Nicks shoulder, trying not to look. The father stood up, holding Philips head. He threw it back at Nick and ran at him. Nick pushed Danielle out of the way, and pulled the father towards the rail. Nick threw him over and looked at the damage. Only the old lady was left. She mourned at her husbands corpse. Nick, Rodger, and Danielle go to her, and nick talks about his plan.
