Toxis is a priestess in her tribe. She gives new slaves their ownership markings, and also performs many religious rituals. She is often the first person a male has sex with when they come of age, as it is her and her fellow priestess' job to make sure the males are prepared for a female's heat. It is also her job to help females who could not find a suitable mate cope with their heat. This is especially so for hermaphrodites, whom her tribe sees as a descendant of their sex, lust, love, and fertility goddess.

Ownership markings are done with a blue dye that is permanent in one's skin/fur/scales. New fur grows with the same designs and colors, even if completely shaven. If given to sex slaves, the markings continue to the genitals. Since the dyes give the recipiant a warm and intense buzz as it fuses, it is common for sex slaves to climax once she is finished marking. She also has a clear liquid that doesn't dye, but gives off a less intense feeling.
