Jim has a lifelong intrest in machinery and computing. He eventually became a doctor in robotics. He loved his job so much, that he would rather be around robots, than other living things. He wanted to make a machine that could actually think like him. This became an obsession. The eaisest way he thought to accomplish this was by converting another living being into a cyborg. But by attempting this he was deemed unfit to continue working  in his company's labs, and was kicked out. He continues to pursue his twisted dream in secret.
