This wolf has had a rough history.
He was born mortal, a dwarf, so long ago he's almost entirely forgotten that life.
For heroism that bordered on stupidity he was resurrected and became a Black Unicorn, the Lord of his species and Liasion between the creatures of the wilderness and the peoples of civilization (a role only a once-mortal could perform). He remained in this post for over a thousand years.
In a moment of complacency he was overcome by an evil mage and slain. The mage took his alicorn and through considerable magic bound pure darkness to it, creating an entity of pure shadow; formless and black, which he named the Ravager. Further spells bound the slain unicorn's spirit into this entity, and a powerful geas sent it forth to slay Unicorns.
Eventually he was slain, and the Unicorns freed of the prison that bound their spirits and resurrected, but the Ravager was repudiated by the gods of his World and cast into the void between worlds. For unknowable time he drifted in this emptiness, until he learned how to assume a physical form and found a way to escape.
He became Ebonshadow, born of Shadows.

Intelligence, imagination, wit.
Oh, and being drop dead gorgeous helps!

Stupidity, hatred, intolerance.
The overweight, the over-muscled, and the ever annoying overcompensating Mary Jane.

As yet he has a few friends, but he will suffer neither master nor slave.
He desires equality and closeness, but not the binds of mateship.
