Rosheen came from a conservative catholic family of six from Galway city, Ireland. She left her home when she was 17 and moved to London, where she worked as a barmaid. Her volunteer work at a small amateur radio station led her to perform regularly as a DJ in the city, playing her favourite rock, punk, indie, new wave and reggae. She still lives in London in her small apartment, and is single.
