Helix was born to a domineering mother and a father who was oblivious to his wifes overbearing demeanor. He didn't take long to turn to a life of crime and shenanigans, driving his mother absolutely bonkers with his rebellious attitude. He only went legit after the old bat died, opening the Double Helix in Portland, Oregon.
