(For now) Simply put, Mrs. Karen Cambridge came to be as she currently is by whatever events usually inspire involvement with Fascism (sort of, only sort of in this case, like how Hitler's past allegedly inspired him to be Chancellor, then Dicator, of the Third Reich, or something like that).
