Raised in a standard US household, Josh is outwardly completely normal. But on the inside he bears the anguish of his lack of normalcy. He bears the stigma and social separation of intelligence, and also bears the weight of his mother's untimely death. Unsure of himself or his life, he often appears moody or unsatisified.

Perhaps in part due to his past tragedy, Josh socializes rarely. Often he tinkers with his computers and other technology, which he bears an especially strong gift for.

After watching his mother's demise over the course of the years of his childhood, Josh find's women on the whole generally repugnant sexually. He is a nice individual, not openly antagonistic or inflammatory, but he isn't afraid to say exactly what he means. Appearance wise he is unusually attractive, but not to the point of absurdity.
